We are still working on setting a date for the Strides for Autism 2011 5k. We are hoping to do it sometime in the fall, preferably September 10th. There are a few things we need to work out before we set up the registration information and such! Our Inspiration!
Riley is my 9 year old nephew who is Autistic. To be honest, when he was diagnosed with Autism at just 23 months old, I knew nothing about Autism. Since then my family and I have learned a lot about this disorder and how it has already affected so many lives. Although Riley cannot communicate with us like most kids can, he has completely changed the lives of those who know him. His parents, Tricia and Jason, have done an amazing job of getting Riley the help he needs and we have seen growth in Riley that is impressive! But he still has a long way to go.
